Dear IMPACT Sponsor,

The statistics are frightening. The human toll is staggering. Young people, in the beginning of their lives, killed or maimed. Lives ruined.

What can we do?

Many local businesses, community leaders and citizens are working on an exciting project called IMPACT 2011, scheduled for April, 2011. The focus of IMPACT 2011 is to save lives. This is the sixth year for this event and this year's event promises to reach even more teenagers.

Presented by Prom Pledge, Impact, Inc., a non-profit organization founded for the purpose of saving lives, IMPACT 2011 will provide the opportunity for over 7,000 area high school juniors and seniors including students from Athens, Fairfield, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Jefferson, Meigs, Morgan, Muskinghum, Noble, Perry, Vinton and Washington counties to listen to motivational speakers who will present a sobering look at what can happen when poor choices are made. These choices may involve alcohol and drugs, poor driving habits or peer pressure. The event will be held at the Ohio University Convocation Center.  IMPACT 2011 is supported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
